Where to go on a boys trip in scottsdale

The ULTIMATE Guide to a Boys Trip in Scottsdale

Boys Trip - ASSEMBLE!

Picture this. The fellas are assembled. Flights are booked. AirBnB is locked in. You're gearing up for the most legendary boys trip in the history of mankind.. but there isn't a Scottsdale local in sight and the fellas simply don't know where to go.

That's why we wrote the ultimate guide to a fellas heater in Scottsdale. Enjoy the best spots in town to golf, booze, eat, and god knows what else, below.

Fellas Gotta Eat!

Rule number one of boys trip: stay fed & stay hydrated.

Toca Modera: Unreal mexican food. Very upscale. $20 margaritas and fire dancers. This place can only be classified as being a part of "the scene" but it's also pretty damn cool if you're visiting. The food goes hard, but you can also just got to the bar for drinks.

Elephanté: Scottsdale's newest scene spot originating from LA that provides a sick drink menu and french cuisine. Upscale crowd, very fun, very trendy, and a great spot to get a few cocktails and dinner. Also the perfect location to walk yourself down the street to hit the clubs when it feels right.

The Global Ambassador: THIS IS THE SPOT FOR DINNER AND STARTING THE NIGHT. This place has five bars/restaurants in it, and is all the rage right now. Stop in the lobby bar for a cocktail, and then make your way to the rooftop bar (Thea) to catch the sunset, eat an insanely good dinner, and get your party on. It's rowdy - but like, classy rowdy, which is a great balance. Oh - and wear something nice.

Etta: This sick spot place is a local favourite, serving homestyle Italian dishes with a modern twist. The food is epic, the atmosphere is super cool (they have a DJ), and the drinks go hard. It's in North Scottsdale, but is a great place to kick off a night before sending it to booze-town.

Buck & Rider: Unreal steak & seafood. Happy hour EVERY day from 4-7PM. And a great crowd. One of the few places we will eat seafood in the middle of the desert, and genuinely enjoy it. They also have this cocktail called the Bobby Love which is pretty much just green juice + gin, which counts as a juice cleanse as far as we are concerned.

FORE!

Odds are if you're on a boys trip, you're probably boozin', and theres probably like 12 of you, so you're gonna wanna be at a course that is bender-friendly.

Silverado Golf Club: 8 minutes North of Old Town, absolute booze-fest, and a pretty solid track! Always in decent condition, and the cart girl is never far away. No range though.. not that anyone is hitting a single warm-up bar.

McCormick Ranch:  This Scottsdale club boasts two 18-hole championship courses, the Palm and the Pine, with super scenic views. Low key the nice "party course" in the area. Prepare for a 5 hour round & frequent cart-girl stops, while still being at a nice club.

Talking Stick: Close to Old Town, 36 holes so you can usually get on, and they are no stranger to people absolutely ripping it out on the course. Championship level course though - so a great spot for those who appreciate a good track.

Grass Clippings (Night Golf): In Tempe, this public course is not your typical - it offers night golf under LED lights, live music, and a large focus on boozin'. Really fun. Do it.

Starfire Golf Club: Close to old town, not overly nice, decently affordable, and a legitimate Golf Club. Narrow as hell tho - bring lots of balls and prepare to apologize to numerous residents.

Where We Boozin'?

Location is everything. Finding bars in a city you don't live in is a nightmare considering every online review was also written by a tourist. Which is why we have created this bender-approved list of drinking spots:

Dive Bars: These spots are perfect for a big crew looking for absolute debauchery, where you can also still actually hear each other speak.

Kill Club: Imagine if a glamorous cocktail speakeasy & a deadly dive bar had a baby. That is Kill Club. God damn incredible atmosphere, cheap drinks, and they serve a combo called "The Finito" which comes with a shot of a tequila and a zyn. SOLD!

Little Woody: Banging Dive bar with pool and a wicked dance floor on one side, but a chiller spot on the other side. It's like if a dive bar and club had a baby, and it was perfect. Great for late night. I often do Global Ambassador, to here, since they are close.

Pattie's First Avenue Lounge: A quintessential dive bar offering a no-frills, lively atmosphere in Old Town Scottsdale. It looks like a convenience store. The walls are covered in dollar bills. There is no roof on part of the bar. BUT IT IS THE BEST DAMN TIME YOU WILL HAVE IN YOUR LIFE. Go here... and when you do, make sure you go to the back bar and ask for Jello shots.

Clerbs: If the fellas are looking to throw their asses in a circle and order overpriced bottles, you're gonna wanna check out these spots.

Bottled Blonde: Bottled Blonde is for boys trip boozin', straight up. But its got a really upbeat vibe and multiple levels and you're pretty much guaranteed to have a great time there whether you get a table or not. Can get a table with bottles if you want, or just crush overpriced beers at the bar. Its your world fellas.

Almost Famous: A fire EDM Scottsdale club known for its wicked DJ line-up. It's clubby while somehow managing to be a tiny bit more upscale. Good spot to dance & get after it.

Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row: A country nightclub right in the heart of the vortex... but please manage your expectations on "country"... it's a night club that has the odd Morgan Wallen remix thrown in haha. Really fun crowd and vibe though and a great space to let the squad get to work.

Wasted Grain: Night Club meets live music meets banging outdoor patio right in Old Town. Always a crowd pleaser without being at a total nightclub screaming at eachother.

Riot House: You want pure bottle service club energy? Just go to Riot House. Period.

Other Local Tips

Hiking: Don't hike Camelback - it's an absolute ankle-coffin not to mention a complete tourist trap. If you do want to rip a moderate group hike that is close to town, try Gateway Loop, 40th, or Tom's Thumb.

Areas: Stay in Old Town if you wanna be super close to the action and right in the partying mix, North Scottsdale if you want to be in the slightly more mature area with great food, and Paradise Valley if you wanna be in a baller place close to everything.

& most importantly HANGOVERS: Do NOT let a dusty hangover rob you from time spent raging with the fellas. Bender Extender hangover support is a NON-NEGOTIABLE for group trips in Scottsdale, and to make sure this is possible we offer same-day delivery in the area on any orders placed via our website. Take a serving of Bender Extender every day before you hit the sauce, mix in a few waters throughout the day, and enjoy a weekend of pure chaos with the boys.

So there you have it; the ultimate guide to boys gone wild in Scottsdale. Enjoy your bender, and remember, BEND DON'T BREAK!
